RileyCross.com (the "Site") is the author website of Riley Cross, operated by Twin Cities Press ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or join the mailing list, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you join the mailing list, we collect your first name and email address.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider and the services we use may automatically log basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, and the site that referred you. We use this information in aggregate to keep the Site working and to understand how visitors find us.
How we use your information
- To send you the newsletter you signed up for, including new release announcements, pre-order alerts, cover reveals, and other news about Riley Cross's books.
- To respond if you reply to an email or contact us.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the Site and our emails are used so we can improve them.
We will never sell or rent your personal information.
Email service provider
Our mailing list is managed by AWeber Communications. When you subscribe, your name and email address are stored on AWeber's servers and handled under AWeber's privacy policy. AWeber may record whether emails are opened and which links are clicked. We use that information only in aggregate, to see what readers find useful.
Cookies and third-party services
The Site itself does not use advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering them; see Google's privacy policy. Links to Amazon and other retailers take you to sites we don't control. Those sites, including any affiliate programs, may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime. Every email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click removes you from the list.
- Access, correct, or delete your data. You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email riley@rileycross.com or reply to any newsletter email.
- Privacy rights where you live. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, or certain U.S. states such as California), you may have additional rights over your personal information. We honor those requests. We process your information on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
Data retention and security
We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may keep a record of your email address as unsubscribed so that you aren't added again by mistake. We rely on AWeber's and our hosting provider's industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Age requirement
Riley Cross writes dark romance for adult readers. The Site and mailing list are intended for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has subscribed, email riley@rileycross.com and we'll remove them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
